ROBERT WILLIAM WARDER, 89, of Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, passed away on February 23, 2024. Bob was born on May 19, 1934, in Akron, Ohio, and is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Linda and John Owens, his son, Michael Warder, and his daughter, Cathy Bowman. Bob is also survived by his two granddaughters, Melissa (Curt) Baldridge and Kelly Robbe, along with five great-grandchildren, Eleanor, Jonah, Teddy, Peter, and Alaina.
Bob was preceded in death by his wife of 25 years, Ann Warder, his parents, Robert and Myrtle Warder, his twin sister, Barbara Morrison and his son, Robert Warder.
Bob attended Akron East High School and Hammel Business College. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. Bob was the owner-operator of the Heights Café, retiring in 1996 and moving to Bonita Springs, Florida, where he lived for over 20 years, before moving back to the Akron area to be closer to his family.
Bob was a charter member of the Akron Skydivers Club. He served with the Ohio School Umpires Association, as well as a player and board member of the Akron Silver League Softball Association. Bob played hockey for the Akron Stars and was a licensed P.A.D. scuba diver. Bob was an active member of the Moose, American Legion, V.F.W. and Eagles Clubs.
