Roger W. Skinner

Roger W Skinner ,73, of Cadiz, Ohio,  born October 1 , 1950, son of the late Dean and Lucille Skinner, passed away peacefully on October 2, 2023 at home on his favorite couch with his remote in hand.  He spent his last birthday with family and happily spent his son’s money at the slot machines.

He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Lola; daughter, Stacy Skinner; son, Jason (Katie) Skinner; grandson, Colten; granddaughter, Olivia; honorary daughters, Anna and Elizabeth Tipton; brothers, Kenneth , Alvin, Scott; and sister, Robin.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a brother,  Todd.

Roger was a long-time member of Harrison Lodge #219, Scottish Rite and Royal Arch Masons. He  retired from R&F Coal and Smith Concrete.

A big thank you to Bob Gotschall and “Big Balls ” (Ernie Roghelia ) who were like brothers and supported him during this difficult time and to the many other friends that also called him.

We would also like to thank Brightside Tavern, Pulling for a Cure, Harrison County Cancer Crusaders, Judy Vincenzo Foundation, Eric Watt True Heart Foundation, Teramana Cancer Center and the Masonic organization for all their help.

According to his wishes there will be no funeral as he will be cremated, instead a Celebration of Life gathering with storytelling and laughter will be held at Capraro’s Restaurant in Hopedale, Ohio for family and friends at 2pm on October 22, 2023.   In lieu of flowers or cards Memorial donations can be made to Harrison County Humane Society, PO box 404 Cadiz, Ohio 43907.
