Ronald W. Hughes passed unexpectedly on April 15, 2024, surrounded by his family.
Ronald was born on March 1, 1949, in Tampa, Florida, and was the son of the late Walter R. Hughes and R.V. (Bonds) Hughes.
On June 6, 1967, Ronald married Nola J. Patterson, who survives, of the home. In addition to his wife of 56 years, Ronald is survived by his children, Ronald W. (Penny) Hughes, Jr., Tony A. (Kimberly) Hughes, Sr., and Amanda L. Hughes and friend, Dan Reed. He is also survived by grandchildren, Nathaniel Hughes, Tony A. Hughes, Jr., Brooke (Eric) Mann, Brandon Hughes, Alyssa H. Hughes, Aaron Hughes, and Aldyn J. Hughes. He is also survived by 8 great grandchildren, with one more on the way. He also leaves behind his beloved cat, Meer.
Ronald was proceeded in death by a son, Brian E. Hughes, and a daughter, Alicia Hughes.
Ronald retired from truck driving ten years ago, retiring from A.R.E. Truck Caps in Massillon, Ohio.
Ronald enjoyed riding motorcycles, fishing (especially in Alabama), playing pool with children and grandchildren, and vacationing (especially his dream of vacationing in Hawaii, which he did in 2022).
