Rose Therese Kirby
died December 23, 2022.
She was born November 15, 1944 in Cleveland, the daughter of the late John F. and Mary M. Kirby (Paytosh).
She graduated from Mayfield High School in 1963 and received a scholarship to St. Luke’s Nursing School.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister Jackie Parsons Porter and her husband Wayne Porter, surviving son Ron Parsons and daughter Kathy Parsons Rutledge. Surviving siblings are sisters Kathy Kindler, son Mark and wife Kim and Kathy’s deceased husband Edward Kindler; Marilyn McFarlin, daughters Karyn Kenney and Jeanette McGuinness, son Glenn Kirby and Marilyn’s deceased husband Glenn; brother Jack Kirby and wife Eileen. There are numerous nieces, great nieces, nephews and great nephews.
Rosie retired from American Airlines. She was a long time resident of Fairview Park, Ohio and enjoyed the local Senior Center for lunch and card games. She loved being at the Metro Parks on Lake Erie to view sunsets and meditate. Another favorite was Emerald Necklace Marina. Potting up flowers for her patio and feeding birds was a favorite past time and she could be found pulling weeds around her apartments. One of her daily routines was sipping that special cup of McDonald’s coffee made especially for her!
Rosie was a faithful and dedicated servant of Kamms Corner Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 3981 Rocky River Drive, Cleveland, Ohio 44111 where a memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 11
th
at 2:00 pm.
