Rowan Kelley Gingerich, 21, passed away unexpectedly on May 28, 2022. Rowan was a 2019 graduate of Shaker Heights High School in Shaker Heights, Ohio, where she was known for her sense of humor and her heart of gold. She was a hard worker no matter the task, she loved music, and she never met a dog she didn’t like.
Rowan was preceded in death by her grandfathers, John Barr and John Gingerich and her grandmothers, Dianne Weiss and Lois Kelley. Rowan is survived by her parents, Brian Gingerich and Dulcey Barr; sisters Caddie Nath-Folsom, Bailey Gingerich, and Jillian Gingerich; brothers Jamie Nath, Van Gingerich, Beau Gingerich, and Jude Gingerich; grandmother Betty Gingerich; grandfathers William Kelley and Harvey Weiss; a huge extended family of aunts, uncles, and cousins; and an abundance of friends, both human and canine.
Rowan had a singular perception of the world around her, and she was uniquely able to express it through her photography and her writing. She loved to make people laugh – she lit up so many lives, and she will be missed immeasurably.
There will be a celebration of Rowan’s life from noon to 2 PM on Saturday, June 11, 2022, in the courtyard of the Heights Rockefeller Building at 3109 Mayfield Road, Cleveland Heights, OH 44118 (northeast corner of Mayfield and Lee).
Rowan’s family requests that those who wish to express sympathy consider making a charitable contribution in Rowan’s memory to LifeAct, 210 Bell Street, Chagrin Falls, OH 44022 /
