Sandra Kaye Watkins

Sandra Kaye (Geiger, Brenner) Watkins of Hartville passed unexpectedly on July 22nd, 2024, at the young age of 79. Her beloved spouse and soulmate (Thomas Watkins) followed her in death on August 3rd, 2024. Her smile was infectious, and she touched the lives of everyone that knew her. A loving mother, devoted wife, and a beloved friend to many, who will be deeply missed.

 Sandy was the second oldest of five daughters to George and Hazel Geiger of North Lawrence, Ohio. She was a 1962 graduate of Tuslaw High School in Massillon, Ohio. She retired from a long career in the accounting department of American Electric Power in 2006 and shortly thereafter began working for the Lake Local school district, where she retired from in 2022.

Sandy enjoyed dancing with her husband, listening to karaoke, tending to her garden and socializing with her friends. She was an avid Nascar fan that never missed a race. She was a long-time member and weekly patron of the Mckinley Eagles, VFW and the American Legion. 

Sandy was preceded in death by her eldest sister and brother-in-law Shirley and Jack Sneed. She is survived by her sisters Sally O’lenick, Sherry Irwin and Sona (Dave) Chapman, her children Harry (Marjorie) Brenner of Canton, Thomas Jr (Laura) Watkins of North Canton, and Scott (Linda) Watkins of Navarre, 8 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
