Sharon L. Brumbaugh

Sharon L. “Sherrie” or “Lou” Brumbaugh, 73, of Canton, Ohio, passed away peacefully on September 24, 2024 at Aultman Hospital after a brief illness.

Sherrie was born in Canton, Ohio on July 14, 1951 as the oldest of twelve children of Denver and Betty Powell. She grew up first in Woodsfield, then Canton, and was a 1969 graduate of Lincoln High School. She retired after enjoying 30+ years as a talented and gifted florist throughout Canton. 

She is survived by the family she so fiercely loved, including her devoted husband and soulmate of 55 years, Tim; daughter, Teresa and son, Michael (Erin); the lights of her life, grandsons, Kaleb and Xander; beloved sisters, Becky (DC) Cordia, Linda (Dean) Dennison, Twila (Butch) McDade, Frankie (Keve Holtsclaw) Arnold, Connie (Jim) Fletcher, Patty Powell, and brother, Joe (Crystal) Powell; treasured sisters and brothers-in-law; as well as 30+ nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, William Robert, sisters, Mildred “Rocky” Gates and Debbie Bodine, and brothers, Johnny and Dennis Powell. 

Those who wish to remember Sherrie and pay their respects to the family may gather on Wednesday, October 2 from 4 – 6pm at Paquelet-Falk Funeral Home in Louisville, Ohio. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to St. Jude Research Hospital, or a charity that is close to your heart, in Sherrie’s name.
