Sharon Goddard

Sharon Goddard passed away May 5, 2020. She retired in 2014, after working at Country Club Retirement Center in Dover, and for many years as a Home Health Aide. Sharon was a member of Community Baptist Church in Dover, Ohio and enjoyed reading her Bible and devotions and listening to gospel music. She loved to spend time with her family, cooking, crafts and shopping. Sharon was also a longtime member of the Midvale Fire Department auxiliary.

She is survived by her husband Tracy Goddard of the home, and would have celebrated 43 years of marriage on June 4th; a daughter Tracy (Robert) Russell of Dover; her mother Ruth (Pickar) Farnsworth of Massillon; brother, Terry (Pat) Farnsworth of Canton; brother-in-law Randy Goddard of New Philadelphia; grandsons Cori Wolfe of Midvale, Robert (Erica) Russell lll of West Lafayette Ohio, Devin (Mallory) McDonald of Dover; Levi Smith of Midvale and Joedan Russell of New Philadelphia, Ohio.

Sharon was preceded in death by her father Ellwood “Bill” Farnsworth of Massillon; niece, Amanda “Mandi” Dye of Massillon, Ohio; and sister-in-law, Pat Goddard of New Philadelphia, Ohio. In keeping with Sharon’s wishes, cremation has been entrusted to Heritage Cremation Society and there will not be visitation or services. A memorial service will be held at later time at Community Baptist Church in Dover, Ohio. Condolences and special memories can be shared with the family online at
