Sherry Lynn England, age 45, of Elyria, entered into eternal rest with her family by her side, on Monday, May 4, 2015 following a fourteen month battle with cancer. Sherry was born in Elyria on August 20, 1969, the daughter of Jerry D. England and Sandra K. (Farmer) Van Meter. She loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, family and friends at family gatherings, giving thought to them in all she would do.
She was a home health care aide by trade. Following high school she spent time living in Columbus, Ohio, with her brother in Indiana and 17 years in Cincinnati before moving to Sullivan, Ohio with her mother where she began her fight with cancer. Sherry was a Christian by faith.
She is survived by her children; Brandon M. (Maurisa) England, LaShai S. Lewis, Latasha N. Lewis, Dominique T. (Cayla) Lewis, and Kayla R. Lewis, grandchildren; A’liyah, Braniya, Bre’ale, Brandon Jr., and Nadia all of Cincinnati, her parents; Sandra K. (Farmer) Van Meter of Sullivan, Jerry D. England of Elyria, brothers; Jerry Duane (Terri) England of Mooresville, Indiana and Timothy (Denise) England of Medina, nieces and nephews; Jeramie, Ciara, Amanda, Joshua, Sydney, stepbrothers and sisters, Kenneth, Janine, Dina, Chantel, Rick, Marvin, Mark and Tonya.
Sherry is preceded in death by her grandparents, Dorothy and Maurice Farmer and Dorthea and Grant England and stepfather, Blain Van Meter.
A service celebrating Sherry’s life will be conducted Saturday, May 9th, at 4:00 pm at the Wellington Free Will Baptist Church, 205 Woodland Street in Wellington, Ohio with Rev. Eddie Kennedy Jr. officiating. Condolences and special memories may be shared online at www.heritagecremation.com.
