It can be hard to find the right words to pay tribute and sum up the life of the woman who has raised and cared for you. Shirley lived an active and full life and her Family was her anchor. Shirley was an Avid Nascar Fan and only an Act of God could prevent her from missing a race. She was beloved by her children and those who knew her. She listened without judgment. She gave without expectation. She helped out because it was the right thing to do. She was honest because there was no other way to be. Though Shirley’s health was failing for years, few people knew the extent to which she struggled. Her joy for life and indomitable spirit kept her pushing through the pain. She was an inspiration to all that knew her.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Wilber S Poorman, Joy Marie (McKinney) Poorman and her brother, Jack Poorman and daughter of her heart, Karen S Martin.
She is survived by her children; Timothy (Elizabeth) Cavnah, Kimberly J Cavnah, Barbara Walter, Michael (Augustina Vega) Cavnah and Robin (Micky) Watson; four Grandchildren; two Great Grandchildren and many dear friends.
