Stephen T. McKay/Burleson

Stephen T. McKay/Burleson , 54, of Canton, Ohio, passed away peacefully, June 30, 2024 after several years of declining health.

Born May 31, 1970, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to Marie Meszaros/McKay and Thomas McKay (who died shortly after.) After moving to Canton as an infant, his mother remarried Norbert Burleson, who became his "real" Dad, bonding for life. At age 4, Steve became a juvenile diabetic with many hospitalizations. Art and music became a vital part of his life. After graduating from The University School in Pittsburgh, he became a tattoo artist until he became legally blind. He then immersed himself in music. He played many instruments and became a sound engineer in the Canton area. He loved all genres of music.

Steve was preceded in death by his dad, Norbert Burleson. 

He is survived by the love of his life and soulmate, Jessica Collins; brothers, Ian (Tanya) Burleson, New Philadelphia, David (Ann) Burleson, North Canton; sister, Clair (Harold Merckle) Burleson, Bolivar; daughter, Rain Loveney; and nephews, Brandon, Seth, Sean, and Jordan Burleson and Jaiden Merckle.

There will be no calling hours or funeral, but a memorial service will be announced at a later date.
