Steven Douglas Guisinger age 74, passed away June 25 at Autumnwood in Rittman, Ohio. He was born June 21, 1950 in Dover, Ohio to the late Thomas and Evelyn Guisinger.
At a young age, he enjoyed riding his ponies, Prince and King and his horse, Cindy. He was a 1968 Garaway graduate. On September 9, 1969 he served in the Army in the Vietnam War until April, 18, 1971. His best companion was his dog, Bobbi. Later in life, he traveled the open road, going state to state on his motorcycle, sometimes stopping to stay for a time. Riding was his passion.
He is survived by two brothers, David (Daisy) Guisinger and Thomas (Joe) Guisinger and his wife Gwen; nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his parents and two brothers, Tim and Matthew.
According to Steve’s wishes there will be no visitation. A private graveside funeral with military honors will be observed at Evergreen Burial Park in New Philadelphia, Ohio with Chaplain Tony Huggins of Grace Hospice officiating. In memory of Steve, donations can be sent to Grace Hospice, 7206 Market St., Ste C., Youngstown, Ohio 44512.
