Tequilla Chevette Burnett

On March 25th 2023 in Canton, Ohio the sun set for Tequilla Chevette Burnett also known as Kizzy. In her time of glory, she had her two daughters, Na’Jahnique and Jaliyah Bonner. Kizzy recently became a grandmother to Ny’Lasia Henderson and was expecting her second granddaughter, A’Moura Lewis in April 2023. Tequilla was the first daughter to Shelly Burnett (Ryals) and was an excellent role model and big sister to Kieron Smith, Bianca Harris, Awan Smith, Mylek Jones, and Reukiah Smith.

Tequilla was a remarkable woman who gave so much of her time and love to so many people. In between time, she enjoyed R&B music, having great debates and was an avid gamer, where she met her significant other, Marlin, who was the last to speak to her. This is where she also met her best friend of 10+ years, Blaze. Blaze affectionally writes “Dear Tequilla, we shared a beautiful friendship for a decade, speaking nearly every day since we first met. Tequilla was an incredible best friend, and I couldn’t have asked for anyone better. While it’s heartbreaking to say goodbye, I’m grateful for the 10 years of love, advice, friendship, fun times, and authenticity that Tequilla brought into my life. I’ll cherish those memories forever. Rest in peace, my friend. You’ll always hold a special place in my heart. Love you always. ”

As Tequilla requested the family, she has been cremated. A Memorial Service will be held April 2, 2023 at 1315 Gonder Ave Canton, Ohio 44704 from 1pm-6pm. Condolences and special memories of Tequilla can be shared with her family online at www.heritagecremationsociety.com
