Terry L. Self

Terry L. Self (62) passed away Wednesday, October 11, 2023. Terry was born March 26, 1961.  He was a musician who loved to play his guitar and sing. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, tending to his garden, and grilling on his smoker with his dog, Boo.  Anyone who knew Terry knew his love for joke telling and being the life of the party. Terry had a long career as a truck driver and loved being a hard worker. He resided in Shawnee Mission, Kansas for most of his life. Terry passed away in his daughter’s home in Ohio. He will be greatly missed and will live on in our memories for years to come.

He is survived by his two daughters, Crystal Guilliams (Canton, Ohio) and Tiffany Self (Coshocton, Ohio); five grandchildren, Abigail, Nate, Gabe, Cain, and Laikyn; three great-grandchildren, Mason ,Connor, and Ronan; siblings,  Barbara Hill of Arkansas and Roger Self of Kansas.

He is preceded in death by his dad, Beacher Self, mother, Mary Gustason, brothers, James Self, Darrel Self, sister, Betty Pointdexter and his beloved dog, Boo.

There will be a memorial held at a future date in his hometown.  Special thanks to Gail, Lexi, and Tiff for helping his transition to Ohio and early care.
