Tessanne Alyce Larke passed on July 31st, 2024, after a courageous battle with acute myeloid leukemia. Tessanne was born March 20th, 1991, to Lawrence and Beth Larke of Louisville Ohio.
Tessanne loved camping and exploring the natural world. She was a frog and toad expert, always able to locate, catch, and sing with them. She also loved spending time with her devoted canine companion, Stevie, listening to music and going to concerts, and enlivening the world with her wicked sense of humor and a sharp wit.
Tessanne was a shining example of compassion, dedicating her life to helping those struggling with substance use through her work in addiction medicine and recovery. Her tireless efforts touched countless lives, offering solace and support to those in need. Her five and a half years of sobriety are a testament to how much difference one life can make. Her kindness, resilience, and unwavering love will be deeply missed.
Tessanne is survived by her spiritual husband Nathan Hawkins; her greatest gifts to the world, Remi and Margaret; her devoted parents Beth and Larry Larke; siblings Lauren (Carl) Vollmer and Pierce Larke; and a host of cherished family and friends.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
