Theresa Kay Large (nee Snider), of Canton, was born on February 28, 1955 and left this world to the Lord’s open arms on May 23, 2022.
To most, she was known as Terry. Terry was independent and very active in her community. Everywhere she went she found a friend, and people found a friend in Terry. She enjoyed walking around Canton and there wasn’t a cat or dog that didn’t catch her eye for a quick stop to pet them. Terry was also involved in the Special Olympics for many years, bowling being her favorite. Terry enjoyed relaxing watching Criminal Minds, doing Word Search puzzles, and scratch off lottery tickets. Her family was very important to her, and she doted over her “grandbabies”. Terry lived life on her own terms and was rich with experience that made her a unique individual.
Theresa was preceded in death by her mother, Della Jane Snider (nee Oyler), her father, Roy Stanley Snider, and husband, Charles Cale.
She is survived by sisters, Sandra Croston (nee Snider), and Roylene Snider; son, Joseph Charles Cale; niece, Michele Lee Croston; nephew, Brian (Ashley) Baltz; her pride, her joy, her grandbabies, Braeden Mychal Croston, Bella Nicole, and Faith Marie. Theresa also leaves behind her friends at Quality of Life who cared for her like family.
Theresa’s family would like to thank Cecily, Brandon, Sharon, Denise, Shawana, Jeanne, and many others that cared for her. Special thanks to Renee Hughes of Stark Board of Developmental Disabilities.
There will be no viewing. A Celebration of Life memorial is to be set for a future time. Condolences and special memories of Terry can be shared with her family online at
