Thomas A. Drescher

Thomas A. Drescher, aged 64, passed away in his home October 6, 2024. Born November 29, 1959, Thomas lived his whole life in Canton, Ohio.

Tom married the love of his life, Gina in 1980. Together they have 4 children and 10 grandchildren. He started his own construction company in his 30’s and enjoyed working with his hands and took pride in helping fix and remodel homes, a trade at which he was very skilled.

Tom enjoyed many things such as fishing, hunting, playing cards, visiting the beach, and most of all, playing with his grandchildren. Tom’s family was his entire world, and he made sure to tell them all how much he loved them and how proud of them he was daily. Tom touched the hearts of everyone he met and had a one-of-a-kind personality which made him hard to forget.

Tom was preceded in death by parents, Robert and Violet Drescher; brothers John (Betty) Drescher, William Drescher, and sister Shirley Saunders.

Tom is survived by his beautiful and loving wife, Regina Drescher; Children, Danielle (Thomas) Crawford, Stephanie (Brandon) Drescher, Melissa (Tad) Drescher and Nicholas (Heather) Drescher; brothers, Jimmy (Debbie) Drescher, David (Connie) Drescher and Terry Joe Saunders ; and his favorite people in the world, his grandchildren; Jack & Maggie Hostler, Connor Esber, Drew, Sophie & Christian Gaspar, Olivia & Brody Starcher, and Vicki & Layla Drescher.

In keeping with Tom’s wishes, there will be no services. Immediate family will be taking him to a final resting place at his favorite hunting spot in Bolivar. A Celebration of Life will also happen on a later date.
