Thomas Flament

FLAMENT, Thomas, age 74, of Brunswick, Ohio born September 4, 1948 passed away peacefully Thursday, February 9, 2023 from natural causes. He was a graduate of John Marshall High School in 1966 and received his BS from Cleveland State University in Business Administration in 1973 and CPA thereafter. Tom served in the Air Force as a Staff Sergeant in the Vietnam War from 1967-1971. Upon returning to the US, Tom began his career with the Internal Revenue Service as a Revenue Agent in 1974. He served his entire career working for the IRS where he retired as a Group Manager of the Criminal Investigation Division in 2000. In his retirement, he started his own company, Thomas P Flament & Associates providing Tax services to the community and those in need. Tom volunteered many hours as a sponsor and mentor for those in Alcoholics Anonymous. He was also a member of the VFW and Eagles Club in Brunswick as well as a eucharist minister at both St. Ambrose and St. Collette Catholic parishes in Brunswick. He was an avid golfer and snow skier. His compassion for those in need and his sense of humor will be missed by many. We know he is without pain now and can watch over his children and grandchildren with all their endeavors.

Preceded in death by his Parents Mary and James Flament, his brothers James and Daniel. He is survived by his children, Jeff and Chris Flament and Jenny Standley. His grandchildren, Logan and Alyssa Flament, James and Riley Standley. Former wife, Sharon Mulac, Sisters Janet Evankovich and Marilyn Watkins.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, February 25 at St. Ambrose Catholic Parish, 929 Pearl Rd, Brunswick, OH with Father Bob Stec officiating. Burial in Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Rittman, OH will be Monday February 27 at 1:15pm. The family will receive friends after mass Saturday.
