Timothy Wayne Bowes

September 15, 1952 — September 19, 2023

Rittman

Timothy Wayne Bowes, aged 71, tragically passed away near his home in Rittman, Ohio, on September 19, 2023.  Tim was born September 15, 1952, to the late Sterling Sr. and Irene (Stricklen) Bowes.  He attended Wadsworth City Schools and worked at a variety of jobs, eventually earning his CDL license.  Tim was retired after driving semi-interstate for six years and had recently gotten a new part-time job driving a delivery truck, which he loved.

Tim enjoyed a variety of hobbies, including woodworking and playing his guitar, both of which were relaxing for him.  He was a dedicated Cleveland Browns fan who rarely missed watching a game.  He loved all animals, especially his special cat, Harriet.  Tim also loved NASCAR, lighthouses, and most of all, trains.  He was a Beatles fan from his youth as well as a fan of “old country” music.  He loved cars and most recently purchased a Kia.  He thoroughly enjoyed a piping hot cup of coffee.  Most of all, he loved his family and enjoyed “rough-housing” with his great-great nephews and chilling with his great nieces.

A true believer, Tim had accepted salvation and attended New Hope Christian Church in Creston, Ohio.

Tim is survived by his sister, Becky Bowes Bendel of Ohio; brother, Sterling Jr. “Butch” (Suzi) Bowes of Indiana; niece, Angela Marie Bowes; nephew, Roger (Tracy) Bowes; great nieces and great nephews, Max (Brook) Brianna, Tyler, Adilyn, Kaiden, Joseph, Mallorie, Alexis, Katie, Brandon and McKenna; great-great nieces and nephews, Elijah, Ezekiel, Elliot, Willow Jean, Stephen, Nolan, and Eric.

In addition to his parents, Tim was preceded in death by his sister, Patty Bowes, who passed away in 2022.

A special heartfelt thank you to John and Christine Bricker–you tried so very hard; to Linda K. Margo-Bell, for the gift you have given in our precious Tim’s memory, to Rodger Bendel for putting words on paper when I couldn’t, and to Tim’s girlfriend, Gloria, who enriched his life so deeply.

Healed and forever young and loved.  Condolences and special memories of Tim can be shared with his family online at www.heritagecremationsociety.com.
