Timothy Joe Axford Sr.

Timothy Joe Axford Sr., age 63 of Elyria, Ohio passed away on April 13, 2022, due to medical complications.

Tim was born on March 25, 1959 to Beatrice (Hallett) Axford and William Axford Sr. in Elyria, Ohio. Tim was the youngest of four siblings and grew up in Lagrange, Ohio. He left high school in  and began working many different types of jobs. He really was the jack of all trades and was never afraid to figure out how to fix it himself. Tim was always very hard working and was know for saying he was built “country strong”.

Tim was a father to three sons, Don Nicholas, Timothy Axford II, and Ryan Axford. They can remember growing up with their dad loving being outside, whether it was for work or having fun. Tim enjoyed going hunting, fishing, and cooking on the grill. He was always down for a party and loved to socialize with friends.

Tim had a wildlife license for a long time and always had animals around the house. The family had a farm when they moved to Spencer, Ohio. He taught his sons many things about animals, and they all still share the same love for animals that their dad did. Tim was a very stubborn man and was very set in his ways. He could also be a very loving and caring soul; he was always there to lend a hand when it was needed.

Tim was preceded in death by his parents, Beatrice (Hallett) Axford and William Axford Sr. Tim is survived by his siblings, Linda (Jim) McClelland, Sherill (Gene) Shiplett, and William Axford II; his children, Don Nicholas, Timothy (Rebecca) Axford II, and Ryan Axford; and grandchildren, Hayleigh Axford, Christian Axford, and Chloe Axford.

A celebration of life will be Saturday, May 7, 2022, from 2-4 pm at Eddie’s Place, 1433 Lowell St., Elyria, OH 44035.
