Vicki JD Furuki

Vicki JD Furuki, 76, passed away Monday, June 17, 2024, following a decades-long battle with cancer. She was born April 2, 1948, in Mansfield, Ohio, to Victor Day and Christine (Ruhl) Day, who preceded her in death in 2002 and 2007, respectively.

She is survived by her children Tina Furuki (David Damron) and Victor Furuki (Cathy Furuki), as well as her sister Anne Plodzien.

Vicki was a caretaker to all. A registered nurse for over 35 years, she spent the majority of her career at Lakewood Hospital. Her compassion was immeasurable—it touched countless people—and extended to her beloved pets, including her dog Misty, who provided her with comfort in her last years.
