Walter Raymond Bryant, Junior was a family man who died on March 19, 2023 at the age of 75 surrounded by his adoring wife, Helen (Penny), and two daughters, Georgia and Lydia. Walter was born in Carmel, New York on March 1, 1948 to Walter Raymond and Margaret Sophia Bryant. Ironically, he did not receive his birth certificate until five years later in 1953. Walter grew up with two brothers: Harvey and Ronald (deceased). Following high school, Walter joined the Army and served for nearly 4 years overseas. He was honorably discharged after serving as a Sergeant in Japan and South Korea. He met his wife, Helen Raison in Florida in April 1979. A few short weeks later they were married on May 07, 1979. Their first daughter, Georgia Lynne Bryant, was born in 1980 and their second daughter, Lydia Joyce Bryant, was born in 1981.
Walter worked as a commercial cook and enjoyed experiencing new communities. Walter’s love of cooking began at age 14 and continued until his death. He cooked for celebrities and heads of state early in his career like Zsa-Zsa Gabor, Merv Griffin, and the current king of England, King Charles. Walter lived in many states including New York, Colorado, Florida, Texas, Tennessee, Virginia, Kentucky, and Ohio. He and his wife Penny enjoyed almost 44 years of marriage.
He is survived by his wife, Penny; daughter, Georgia and her son, Brett; daughter, Lydia and her husband, Brent Johnson and children, Alex and Anna; and his brother, Harvey Morrow and his wife, Elizabeth (Betty).
A small, immediate family-only service was held on March 20, 2023.
