Wayne Schmitz

Wayne P Schmitz age 81 passed away at his home in Independence, Ohio.  He will be dearly missed by his wife of 40 years Janet Schmitz (nee Maria) and his children Jeffrey Schmitz (Dottie), and Kelly Schmitz, his step-children Daniel (Cyndi) Pawlowski, MaryLu (Mike) Moloney, Stacey Yessler, and Thomas (Jodi) Yessler. Special Grandfather of 11 and Great Grandfather of 7.

Wayne was the eldest child born to the late George and Victoria (nee Grezlikowski) Schmitz.  Brother of Tim (Deb), Mike, George (Harriet), Joe, Vicky Hensley, Sandra and Paula (Tom).

Wayne was the most kind-hearted and generous man who was always willing to help anyone in need. He was a proud United States Army Veteran.

 Wayne was a heavy equipment operator with the Operating Engineers Local 18, and he loved it. As a boy he would go to any construction site and watch for hours wanting to be like those men that he saw working.
