William “Rusty” Lee Nail, 72, beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle, brother and friend, made his ascent into heaven following a brief illness on Monday, March 4, 2024 surrounded by family.  Rusty was born in Youngstown, Ohio on March 25, 1951, the son of Peter and Nelda “Lorraine” Nail. Rusty served in the US Army during Vietnam as a door gunner in the 174th Aviation Company. Rusty had many trades. He worked in a steel mill, he was a sub-contractor as a ditch digger, a welder and later as a truck driver. Rusty returned to trade school in 1995 and received his license in 1996 to start his own company, Rusty Nails Home Improvement. He later partnered with John VR Construction, Jack Meighen and Jeese Oney until he retired in 2019. Rusty had many hobbies. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, ATV riding, and most importantly cooking out with his family and friends.

Rusty is survived by his partner in crime of 22 years, Karin Hartman; daughters, Billie Jo McCausland, Dawn (Scott) Davis, Tonya Nail; son, Jeremiah Dennis; and stepdaughter, Samantha “Miller” Alfeheili; brother, Jim (Melody) Nail of Greenville, PA; sisters, Cathy (Tom) Mortland of Mercer, PA, Rose (James) Thompson of Kentucky; grandchildren, whom he cherished the most, Susie (Fred) Nisly, Gwendolynn Scott, Alexis Nosic, Katelynn and Landon McLaughlin, Mariah (Jordan) Nutter, Anthony Scott, Shannan Nail, Jerome Bryant-Nail, Corisa Grant, Haylee Buchman, Austin Kinser, Jennifer, Jeremiah, Lemeul and Susan Dennis; along with many great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
